Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Unit Clerk to support nursing and medical staff in a busy patient care unit in Atlanta. You will perform clerical tasks to ensure smooth admissions, discharges, transfers, and overall unit efficiency, while upholding safety and compassionate patient care.

You will engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams, organize supplies and equipment, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong computer skills strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a clerical setting desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing and medical staff by performing clerical tasks to support patient care unit efficiency.
• Process admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients.
• Organize the unit and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Maintain a safe environment, communicate effectively, and utilize technology.
• Advocate for patients and participate in performance improvement.
