Responsibilities

• The Unit Clerk assists nursing and medical staff by performing a variety of service activities and clerical tasks that ensures the efficiency of the patient care unit.
• Provides services to nurses, physicians, healthcare workers, patients, families, and visitors.
• Gathers, processes admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients, organizes the unit, maintains unit supplies and equipment, maintains a safe environment, communicates effectively, and utilizes technology.
• Advocates for the patient and participates in performance improvement.
