Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced CCU Registered Nurse for Lewiston, Maine. The position supports the Coronary Care Unit with direct patient care, rounding, and ongoing safety management.

Prerequisites include an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, plus at least one year of acute care staff nurse experience. BVP certification within 6 months is required. Assignment length is 12 weeks with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required at hire.
• Minimum 1 year staff nurse experience in acute care; CCU preferred.
• BVP certificate within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors quality of care, documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Implements immediate care plan changes to promote patient safety.
• Conducts patient and family rounding to improve experience.
• Serves as a resource for patients, families and staff.
• Provides direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing ratios.
• Supports daily unit operations and communicates safety concerns.
• Manages staffing, scheduling and assignments.
• Supervises, coaches and evaluates staff; assists with performance management.
• Ensures supplies, equipment, and inventory levels are adequate.
• Coordinates with departments to support admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Oversees nursing staff and patient care during shift.
