Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Technician to join the Intensive Care Unit at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph in Michigan. The role supports the RN and care team by collecting information, delivering direct patient care, and ensuring documentation and equipment function safely.

You will work 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 24 hours weekly, with weekends on a rotating schedule. The position emphasizes privacy, safety, and collaboration to deliver high-quality care in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• ARC or AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with the RN or Provider.
• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the RN or Provider, consistent with clinical policies and procedures, and department standard work.
• Articulates the nursing technician role to the patient, family and health team members.
• Cleans patient's environment / work area / equipment and reports any equipment malfunctions.
• Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, protecting privacy, confidentiality and security of patient, staff and organization data.
