Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a CCTV Operator to support our infrastructure projects. You will operate remote CCTV cameras to inspect water and sewer pipelines, assess cleanliness and lining readiness, and perform related jetting and manhole locating tasks on active sites.

This full-time, on-site role requires familiarity with high-pressure sewer cleaning, plan interpretation, and safe work practices in a fast-paced environment. Travel to project sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience with water, sewer, televising, jetting, or CIPP construction.
• Knowledge of closed video camera equipment operation and high-pressure sewer cleaning equipment.
• PACP/MACP/LACP preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with lasers, line and grade measurements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Operate remote CCTV cameras to inspect pipelines and determine cleaning needs and lining candidates.
• Perform jetting, cabling, installing clean-outs, and locate manholes from maps.
• Set up and maintain equipment, supervise and participate in sewer maintenance tasks.
• Assist with repairs on pipelines using specified products and processes.
• Set up/take-down traffic control in street and manage site safety and cleanliness.
• Store and manage CCTV footage and documentation for projects.

CCTV (Camera) Operators perform services ranging fromlocatingmanholesfrom a map, performing confined space entry operations, and performing standard CCTV/Cleaning operations.Travel Required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating remote cameras that utilize CCTV to record interiors of various pipelines for inspections to determine if cleaning is needed (as well as what type) and if the pipe line is a candidate for lining
• Jetting, cabling, and installing clean-outs
• Locate manholes from a map
• Perform miscellaneous related duties and carry out special projects as assigned
• Operation and maintenance of all equipment
• Performs all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Repair various pipelines using a specific product and process
• Performs difficult skilled work supervising and participating in jetting of sewer lines and vactoring of manholes and lift station
• Set-up/take-down traffic control in the street
• Store Footage

Qualifications

• At least 1-year experience with water, sewer, televising, jetting, or CIPP construction
• General knowledge of the operation of closed video camera equipment, and high pressure sewer cleaning equipment
• PACP/MACP/LACP preferred
• Strong knowledge of plans and specifications
• Proficient skills with lasers, line and grade
• Strong customer service and communication skills along with mechanical aptitude are required
• General knowledge of the occupational hazards of the work and of necessary safety precautions

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.

Salary Range

• $25.00 - $35.00, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
