Job summary

Entergy Texas, Inc. in Cleveland, Texas is seeking a Production Technician to operate and maintain a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine facility, prioritizing safety and adherence to procedures to improve performance.

The role involves participating in safety meetings, supporting regulatory compliance, and applying knowledge of plant systems and controls while working with operators and contractors. Required are a high school diploma and an associate degree with 0–2 years in a CCGT, or 2 years of power

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-Year associate degree in Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation/Controls or Production/Process Technology and 0-2 years of experience in a CCGT facility in an Operations or Maintenance position.
• 2 years of power plant operations/maintenance/electrical experience
• Successful completion of the EEI POSS/MASS

Responsibilities

• Foster the importance of a safety-oriented culture.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and be proactive in dealing with all agencies and avoid reportable violations
• Participate in the multi-year Production Technician progression plan to develop key skills in maintenance and operations.
• Meet board operator qualification upon completion.
• Conduct and participate in job briefings and safety meetings.
• Administer Contractor Safety Orientations as needed.
• Apply understanding of plant systems, burner controls, turbine controls, data acquisition, process controls, and troubleshooting.
• Perform operational duties including control board operation, rounds, PM/PDM, HRSG water chemistry, CEMS monitoring and calibrations.
• Inspect, calibrate, install, repair, diagnose, and troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical equipment in the facility.
• Perform mechanical work in inspection, repair and installation of instrumentation and electrical equipment and light PM of mechanical systems.
