Job summary

Entergy in Sterlington, Louisiana, is seeking a Production Technician I–III or CRO to operate and maintain a CCGT facility. You will follow procedures, ensure safety, and work with employees and contractors to improve performance.

The role requires a 2-year associate’s degree or equivalent, progression through a multi-skill plan, and the ability to interpret P&ID, electrical schematics, and OEM manuals. You will work 12-hour shifts with day and night rotations, including overtime during storms.

Qualifications

• 2 year associate’s degree in Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation/Controls or Production/Process Technology or equivalent
• PTECH III: 0–2 years’ experience in a CCGT facility in Operations/ Maintenance; or 4 years of power plant operations/maintenance/electrical experience
• PTECH II – CRO, SR: 2–5 years’ experience in a CCGT facility in Operations or Maintenance; or 5 years of power plant operations/maintenance/electrical experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain regulatory compliance and be proactive in dealing with all agencies and avoid reportable violations
• Participation in the multi-year Production Technician multi skill progression plan to develop key skills in maintenance and operations; meet board operator qualification
• Conduct and participate in job briefings and safety meetings; be responsible for Contractor Safety and orientations as needed
• Applies understanding of plant systems, burner controls, turbine controls, data acquisition, process controls, regulating devices, computers, troubleshooting
• Operate control board, perform operational rounds, PM/PDM activities, HRSG water chemistry, CEMS monitoring and calibrations
• Inspect, calibrate, install, repair, diagnose, test and troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical equipment in a CCGT facility, including light mechanical work
