Washington State University, Carson College of Business (CCB) is seeking a Director of Development to join our team. Successful candidates will begin as a Director of Development 3 or Director of Development 4 dependent upon their qualifications. This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Carson College of Business Development team at a transformative moment in our history. As we launch an ambitious capital campaign to support the future of Carson College, the Director of Development 3/4 will play a key role in shaping relationships and securing philanthropic investments that will have a lasting impact on students, faculty, and programs. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, mission-driven advancement team known for its collaborative spirit, entrepreneurial mindset, and positive culture. Working alongside an innovative Dean and strategic college leadership team, the Director of Development will help drive a bold campaign vision that will shape the future of business education at Washington State University. The Development Director is responsible for supporting the Washington State University (WSU) Carson College of Business (CCB) fundraising goals by planning and conducting outreach designed to promote constituent understanding of the CCB’s activities and research with the aim of cultivating donors and raising money. These efforts may include, but are not limited to annual giving, major gift development, and planned gift identification and advancement. Extensive travel in Washington State (especially in the Puget Sound area), the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere is required. A Development Director 3 manages a portfolio of approximately 125-150 donors, secures 12-16 major gift pledges, opens/plans a minimum of 20 solicitations, and has an annual fundraising goal of $750,000+. A Development Director 4 manages a portfolio of approximately 125-150 donors, secures 12-16 major gift pledges, opens/plans a minimum of 20 solicitations, and has an annual fundraising goal of $1,000,000+. This position may be based in Pullman, Spokane or Seattle at WSU Campus.
Full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime exempt.
