Responsibilities

• Manage one or more national programs to help detect and prevent terrorists and instruments of terror from entering/exiting the U.S.
• Provide guidance and oversight of field activities with full technical knowledge of CBP Officer authorities, enforcement procedures, and admissibility/inspection/export control framework.
• Issue definitive headquarters determinations on admissibility, immigration/nationality, tariff classification, valuation, export-control applicability, and enforcement authorities; ensure consistent interpretation across ports of entry.
