Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Baltimore Field Office, Office of the DFO, Field Analysis & Intelligence Unit. Location is negotiable to the following locations: Baltimore, Maryland Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Norfolk, Virginia Sterling, Virginia

Key Responsibilities

Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will allow you to use your expertise to manage one or more national programs in order to help detect and prevent terrorists and instruments of terror from entering/exiting the U.S. This position starts at a salary of $109,383.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $142,199.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the special salary rate (Special Rates - OPM.gov) of the duty location and position. In this first-line supervisory position you will become a key member of a team of Homeland Security professionals detecting and preventing terrorists and instruments of terror from entering the U.S.

Typical work assignments include: Managing one or more national programs in support of OFO operations. Exercising authority to plan, organize, coordinate, control and evaluate the activities of subordinates. Coordinating with higher-level supervisor/manager, identifying and resolving, as applicable, unique issues where no policy exists, taking innovative actions to address new needs and/or issues.

Managing the development, assignment, and higher level clearance of goals and objectives of subordinate organizational units. Serving as a liaison with high-ranking officials in other Federal agencies and managers in DHS agencies and managers in DHS.
