Summary

In this role, you will utilize your skills in obtaining, reviewing, and evaluating customs regulations and internal customs procedures to reduce risk exposure and gain efficiency. Analyzing and resolving complex customs and compliance issues and making recommendations for practical solutions to LG internal business partners in specified countries and regions.


Responsibilities
  • Assures the best interests of LG Electronics USA are met by providing proper management for the Trade Compliance Team in the US.
  • Ensures compliance with all International trade regulations related to the company's US import business.
  • Responsible for U.S. Customs compliance procedure to ensure activities are performed in accordance with the laws and regulations of CBP and all PGAs that impact trade compliance especially in the areas of: Tariff Classification, Origin Management, Customs Valuation, FTA, ADD/CVD, Trade remedies such as Sec.232, Sec.301 or IEEPA.
  • Responsible for review of daily & monthly audit activities related to individual GERP shipment data.
  • Review accuracy of EDI entry information such as HS codes & FTA eligibility and update as needed.
  • Register Classification information on products, parts, and other manufacturing materials.
  • Process Entry data consolidation for Customs clearance purpose.
  • Communicate and share information for Customs Clearance with Customs Broker and monitor clearance status.
  • Audit Taxation Data for any errors and confirm the data in time.
  • Review and process ACH duty payments in a timely manner.
  • Review CF-28 & CF-29 and gather requested additional information.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Monitor and report all post entry activity in accordance with status changes and/or updates to applicable Free Trade Agreements and other trade remedies by USTR and ensure timely submission for refunds or voluntary tenders to US Customs.
  • Track changes in customs policies and stay updated on relevant developments to ensure accurate review of imports activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of experience in related field.
  • Bilingual in English and Korean.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong Analytical Skills.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Strong Data Entry and time management skills.

Recruiting Range

$72,570—$96,760 USD
