Job summary

Clinical & Support Options, Inc. (CSO) seeks an Overnight Counselor for the CBHC Emergency Services Program in Gardner, MA. The role provides 24/7 behavioral health support, assessments, and stabilization for youth, families and adults.

Starting salary is $38,000 to $44,000 per year with premium shift pay for overnight work. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, with a focus on dedicated teamwork and client safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience working with similar populations.
• High School Diploma and/or Associate's degree may be substituted for 5 years of experience.
• Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive, therapeutic counseling and safety for clients utilizing the program.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including self-care, cooking, recreation, and medication administration and documentation.
• Monitor respite clients with hourly bed checks and provide closer observation as needed.
• Answer crisis telephone calls according to procedures and program needs.
• Prepare daily evening meal for clients and staff when on the evening shift.
• Present cases to insurance companies and obtain prior approvals as assigned.

Job description

CSO is looking for Overnight Counselors to work in our CBHC (Community Behavioral Health Clinic) Emergency Services Program (ESP) in Gardner.

Our Emergency Service Programs (ESPs) offer clients behavioral health assessments, intervention and stabilization (for youth, families and adults,) 24-hour availability, and are a preferred alternative to hospital emergency departments. We provide daily assessment and brief counseling, case management, nursing support and peer support.

This position will be responsible for the care and treatment of assigned program clients, as well as specific tasks necessary to program operation.
Starting Salary: $38,000-$44,000/year. Premium shift pay available for overnight shifts.

As a CBHC ESP Overnight Counselor:

You Will:

• Provide supportive, therapeutic counseling and safety for clients utilizing the program
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including self-care, cooking, recreation, and medication administration and documentation according to individual treatment plans and, for overnight shifts, following program procedures for clients
• Function as an active member of the Treatment Team, on a day-to day basis, in the therapeutic setting including:Monitor respite clients, including hourly bed checks and documentation, and provide closer observation as needed
• Answer and direct crisis telephone calls according to established procedures and as required for program support
• Prepare daily evening meal for clients and staff if working the evening shift
• Present cases to insurance companies and obtain prior approvals as assigned

Your Background:
