Job description

Position Summary

The packer associates efficiently packs products on a fast‑paced production line, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and identifying defects to maintain food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Packers are required to wear the designated personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes a plastic apron, plastic sleeves, a hair net, earplugs, and latex gloves.
• Packers will assume various roles within both the wet and dry areas, including sanitation, wet side rework, loader, catcher, wet side packer, dry side packer, palletizer, replenishing materials at individual workstations, Delkor box maker, leak and case checker.
• Packers will rotate among workstations every 30 minutes.
• Inspect products for quality and check for any signs of foreign material contamination.
• Ensure that packaging material dispensers are stocked with tubs, lids, labels, and boxes.
• Use a cart to transport packing materials to designated workstations.
• Support the team by performing other tasks as directed, particularly when the production line is not in operation.
• Report any issues to the operator, lead, or supervisor.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work in temperatures of 40°F or lower.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week.
• Capability to lift, push, pull, stoop, bend, crouch, turn, stand, and walk for over 8 hours each day.

Pay & Benefits

Pay rate: $18.00 per hour.
