Carl Buddig and Company, a long‑standing meat producer, is seeking a General Labor/Packaging role in Montgomery, IL. The position focuses on preparing and packaging cooked product for shipment with a safety-minded attitude to maintain our safety culture.

Responsibilities include loading meat, performing weight checks, inspecting product and packaging, and ensuring quality and efficient palletization. Join a team dedicated to quality and community.

Responsibilities

• Load bulk meat logs (up to 30 pounds) into meat slicer at required production frequency levels.
• Perform random re‑weight checks of sliced meat product.
• Review and inspect product.
• Place pre‑determined amount of sliced meat products into packaging.
• Reject meat product that does not meet specifications.
• Place required number of packages into box.
• Inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at a rate of 21 – 40 units per minute.
• Ensure that boxes are filled per required levels.
• Place completed boxes on pallet ensuring proper pallet configuration.

Position Summary

As a General Labor/Packaging for Carl Buddig & Company you will be responsible for producing product by preparing and packaging cooked product for shipment with a safety‑minded attitude that maintains and enhances a safety culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and inspect product.
• Place pre‑determined amount of sliced meat products into packaging.
• Reject meat product that does not meet specifications.
• Place required number of packages into box.
• Inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at a rate of 21 – 40 units per minute.
• Ensure that boxes are filled per required levels.
• Place completed boxes on pallet ensuring proper pallet configuration.
• Place empty pallet into position for proper stocking.
• Always maintain areas in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Inspect equipment for sanitary conditions.
• Inspect product for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination.
• Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed.
