Job summary

Carl Buddig & Company in Montgomery, IL is seeking a General Labor/Packaging team member to prepare and package cooked product for shipment with a safety-minded attitude.

You will produce, inspect, and package meat products, ensuring quality standards and sanitary conditions are maintained on the 1st shift. Join a structured operation that supports training and development, with opportunities for benefits.

Responsibilities

• Load bulk meat logs (up to 30 pounds) into meat slicer at required production frequency levels.
• Perform random re-weight checks of sliced meat product.
• Review and inspect product.
• Place pre-determined amount of sliced meat products into packaging.
• Reject meat product that does not meet specifications.
• Place required number of packages into box.
• Inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at 21–40 units per minute.
• Ensure that boxes are filled per required levels.
• Place completed boxes on pallet with correct pallet configuration.
• Place empty pallet into position for stocking.
• Maintain areas in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Inspect equipment for sanitary conditions.
• Inspect product for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination.
• Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

As a General Labor/Packaging for Carl Buddig & Company you will be responsible for producing product by preparing and packaging cooked product for shipment with a safety‑minded attitude that maintains and enhances a safety culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees.
