Job summary

Town of Grottoes seeks a Park Ranger 1 to assist in the operations of Grand Caverns Park and to conduct interpretive cave tours and educational programs for a diverse audience. The role includes working at the Stone Lodge gift shop front desk, managing ticketing and customer service, and supporting special events under the Parks & Tourism Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in parks/recreation, earth sciences, hospitality or related field or four years of experience in recreation, education, or customer service.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Availability for varied schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate cave tours for school groups, scout groups, private tours and general public.
• Assist in park operations at Grand Caverns Park and Town Parks, including gift shop/front desk and special events.
• Assist in planning and implementing special events and programs (Easter, festivals, weddings, corporate contracts).
• Assist in maintenance of park grounds and facilities.
