Job summary

The Greater Peoria Family YMCA seeks a Marketing & Communications Assistant to support brand storytelling and program promotion. This role writes and edits content for internal and external channels, supports social media, updates website content, and assists with communications across the association.

A bachelor's degree is preferred, with experience in marketing or graphic design. Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) is desired, along with strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or in progress.
• Experience in marketing, advertising, or graphic design.
• Strong computer skills with standard business software.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software is preferred; Canva proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Edit and write content for diverse channels and audiences, including YMCA stories.
• Produce and distribute program information to promote assigned programs.
• Support and content creation for social media and digital channels.
• Assist with website content development and editing; support Directors.
• Manage special projects, including stories, photos, and videos, as assigned.
• Support brand management and updating marketing tools.
• Assist with digital media advertising and email marketing where needed.
• Collaborate with the Director of Fund Development and other leaders across the association.
