Job summary

Fabcon Precast is seeking a Caulking Crew Supervisor in the Mahanoy City, PA area. You will supervise the caulking crew, ensure safety policies are followed, and train team members while coordinating with general contractors and subcontractors to meet project timelines.

The role requires 2+ years of precast caulking experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to interpret shop drawings. Travel and overtime are expected as needed on job sites and projects.

Responsibilities

• Work concurrently with crew to complete job while supervising work.
• Ensure that established safety policies are followed.
• Train and mentor others on the Caulking Crew as needed.
• Provide work direction and promote teamwork among crew members.
• Daily logging and review of crew hours for payroll accuracy.
• Represent the company on and off job sites and communicate with GC and subs.
• Comply with ISO and OSHA standards and DOT regulations.
• Complete new hire paperwork for local union members when required.
• Provide daily reporting via tablet to administrative personnel.
• Contribute input for project pre-planning and follow field plans.
• Keep supervisors informed on progress and estimated completion.
• Communicate resource problems to supervisors promptly.
• Verify caulk details before starting the job.
• Review plans, complete estimates, and order caulking material.
• Caulking to be completed efficiently with proper resource use.

• Work concurrently with crew to complete job while supervising work

• Provide work direction, and promote teamwork, amongst the crew members
• Daily logging and review of crew members hours to ensure payroll accuracy
• Represent the company on, and off, job sites and communicate effectively with general contractor and sub-contractors
• Implement company policies and procedures to ensure work performance is in compliance with ISO and OSHA standards, and DOT regulations
• Complete new hire paperwork for local union members when required
• Provide daily reporting via tablet as required to administrative personnel
• Provide input for project pre-planning and follow field plans
• Keep supervisors informed on the job’s progress and estimate completion dates
• Communicate resource problems to supervisors in a timely manner
• Verify caulk details prior to starting the job
• Review plans, complete an estimate/take off and order caulking material for projects
• Complete caulking in a systematic manner to ensure completion and efficient use of resources

Basic Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Two years minimum of precast caulking experience

• Ability to use construction mensuration equipment (i.e. transits, levels, and laser levels)
• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct at all times
• Possess excellent work habits and be able to demonstrate them to subordinates
• Ability to effectively communicate with personnel at different levels
• Ability to foresee potential problems and take necessary action to prevent the problems from occurring
• Ability to work in an organized manner and adapt readily to change
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Completion of OSHA 30-hour

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel
• Ability to work extensive overtime when required
• Ability to work from ladders and aerial work platforms
• Field: Must be able to traverse uneven ground, move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, climb on a flatbed semi-trailer
• Field: All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehicles
