Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months experience.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• IFR wage system designation: Skill Level II Experienced Level.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water livestock and monitor animal health and well-being.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as needed.
• Assist with calving and other livestock husbandry activities.
• Handle, sort, move, and transport cattle.
• Operate trucks, tractors, and other farm equipment.
• Transport feed, hay, livestock, and other agricultural materials.
• Mix and distribute feed, supplements, and medications.
• Grind hay and feed.
• Haul feed from storage sites to livestock areas.
• Maintain and repair fences, corrals, pens, buildings, and other ranch structures.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machinery.
• Clean and bed livestock facilities.
• Spread manure.
• Remove snow from work areas and livestock facilities.
• Perform general ranch maintenance and related duties.
