Qualifications

• Experience handling cattle or other livestock preferred.
• Knowledge of safe livestock loading and unloading procedures.
• Ability to move cattle calmly and humanely.
• Basic understanding of animal behavior and stress management.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Note strays, poor doers, downer animals, or other animals not destined for processing.
• Gather, sort, count, and load cattle for harvest.
• Coordinate shipment and receiving of cattle using the truck schedule.
• Accurately record pulled cattle removed from trucks.
• Receive, ship, unload, and move cattle daily.
• Safely move cattle from pens as directed.
• Follow safety, animal welfare regulations, and company policies.
