Job summary

State of Montana – Department of Livestock in Helena seeks a Cattle Compliance Technician for the Brands Enforcement Division. You will handle receiving, scanning, data entry, and filing of cattle movement documents, while applying Montana livestock laws and regulations.

The role requires strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), attention to detail, and excellent customer service. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, on-site in Helena.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year in a similar office environment with daily customer service is required.
• Experience with livestock regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, scan, and enter multiple types of cattle movement documentation.
• Evaluate documents for compliance with Montana livestock regulations.
• Answer the main phone line and provide customer support.
• Maintain accurate filing and data in the central database.
