Qualifications

Job Description

To provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing CT studies.

Education and Credentials

• Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology or graduate of an approved ARRT Certification program required.
• Completion with a passing score of a cross sectional anatomy exam required. If Certified, cross sectional anatomy exam not required.
• Radiology Technologist required. The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R) required. The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT CT) within 3 Years required.
• NYS Cert for IV Contrast Admin 90 Days required. Must become certified in CT within 3 years of hire/transfer and sit for first exam within 18 months from hire/transfer and successfully pass within 3 years from hire/transfer. Certification must remain current and active. Employees hired into job prior to 8/24/04 are grandfathered for ARRT-CT. ARRT‑R must be current and maintained for any employees hired/transferred effective 6/12/12.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) 90 days from hire or transfer required. Existing Imaging Technologists as of 11/10/2020 will have until 8/31/2021 to obtain their BLS.

Experience
