Job summary

NC Dynamics LLC in the Greater Los Angeles area is seeking a CATIA Programmer to design, write, and maintain CNC programs for 3- and 5-axis equipment in Aerospace. The role requires hands-on programming, fixture design, and close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years CATIA V5 programming, 2+ years in aerospace/aerostructures, strong GD&T interpretation, and proficient MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years CATIA V5 programming experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ aerospace/aerostructures industry experience.
• Advanced knowledge of reading drawings with geometric tolerances and dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC equipment.
• Analyze and select speeds and feeds for efficient cutting.
• Design fixtures and work holdings for CNC programs.
• Create setup sheets and instructions for machinists.
• Optimize and maintain program files and production setups.
• Troubleshoot and develop solutions for programs and setups.

Job Functions

The CATIA Programmer is responsible for the creation, execution, and the maintenance of programs and fixture design for a wide range 3 and 5 axis CNC equipment and coordination of the manufacturing processes with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance.

• Program CNC equipment
• Choose cutting tools that will create an efficient and cost-effective part
• Analyze and select speeds and feeds that optimize the cutting process
• Establish processes and procedures
• Design fixtures and work holdings to accommodate CNC Programs
• Create setup sheets and instructions for Machinist
• Optimize and maintain programs files, and production setups
• Troubleshoot and develop solutions to programs and production setups
• Complies with all safety rules and regulations
• Time Management and Organization
• Communicate and collaborate with Engineers and Machinist
• Must be able to handle flexible hours
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Skills, Education, and Experience Required

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Aerospace/Aerostructures industry
• Minimum 5 years’ CATIA V5 Programming experience required
• Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions.
• Microsoft Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Must have a professional attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement
• Must be able to speak/read/write English
