What You'll Do
As a CNC Programmer, you'll own the development, validation, and optimization of CNC programs used to manufacture complex aerospace components.
Key responsibilities include:
- Create and optimize CNC programs using CATIA CAM software
- Develop machining strategies for 3-axis, 5-axis, and multi-tasking CNC equipment
- Analyze engineering drawings, models, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
- Design and develop fixtures that ensure repeatable, error-proof manufacturing processes
- Validate programs using Vericut simulation and verification software
- Create setup sheets, tooling documentation, and operator instructions
- Support first-run prove-outs and production launches
- Improve cycle times, tooling performance, and machining efficiency
- Maintain program control and documentation in accordance with MBD, DPD, quality, and customer requirements
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement
- Support a culture of safety, accountability, and manufacturing excellence
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- CNC programming experience using CATIA in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of complex machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and setup methodologies
- Experience with CNC program verification and validation
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience programming 5-axis machining centers
- Vericut simulation experience
- Knowledge of Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Digital Product Definition (DPD)
- Experience with aerospace structural components or precision-machined assemblies
- Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
