Job summary

ACL Digital is seeking an Experienced CATIA Interiors Technical Designer for a 6-month contract in Everett, WA. You will support interior payloads across the product lifecycle, coordinating with engineering, production, and program teams.

The role requires CATIA CAD proficiency and at least 3+ years in an engineering field, with export compliance awareness. This on-site position follows a 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM shift and pays $49/hr on W2.

Position Summary

The Payloads Organization is seeking Experienced and Senior Technical Designers to support commercial airplane interior payloads in Everett, WA. This role spans the entire product lifecycle—from supporting customer configuration development and supplier engagement to validating design requirements and assisting with production and certification processes. You will collaborate across project engineering, production operations, and program teams to deliver high-quality interior payload systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to establish core system design.
• Develop, maintain, and modify interior payload component designs using 3D CAD tools (e.g., CATIA) to provide detailed product definition across the product lifecycle.
• Assist in creating and refining design/analysis tools and processes to drive quality and efficiency.
• Interface with cross-functional technical staff, program teams, management, and suppliers to execute engineering solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a technical or engineering field.
• Hands-on experience with 3D CAD modeling tools (CATIA preferred).
• Must be a U.S. Person for export compliance purposes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in technical design, 3D modeling, and technical integration.
• Background in aerospace interiors, materials/properties, design criteria, and engineering release.
• Experience supporting manufacturing/production systems, design for manufacturability, and regulatory compliance verification.
• Exposure to Model-Based Design, relational design, or programming skills (Visual Basic, Python, Java).
