About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Structural & Payload Design Engineers to support aircraft interiors and payload systems design initiatives. This role focuses on developing, integrating, and maintaining structural and interior payload system designs while collaborating with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and regulatory teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements.
• Create and modify aircraft structural and payload component designs using 3D CAD tools.
• Support product development throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Validate and verify system performance through testing and analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to optimize designs and achieve program objectives.
• Support production operations and design-for-manufacturing initiatives.
• Assist with regulatory compliance activities and certification efforts.
• Participate in cross-functional engineering projects and technical problem-solving.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to future product development concepts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus in:
• Mechanical Engineering
• Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Related Engineering Discipline
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with aircraft cabin, cargo, interior, or payload system design.
• Experience using engineering design and product lifecycle management tools.
• Experience supporting engineering within a production environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Must be a U.S. Person for export compliance purposes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
• CATIA
• ENOVIA
• Product Data Management (PDM) systems
• Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
• Knowledge of FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA regulatory requirements.
• Experience with aircraft cargo compartment and cargo handling systems.
• Supplier management and development experience.
• Project or program management experience.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
