Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a mechanical design engineer to develop and modify 3D models and assemblies using CATIA V5/V6 for off-road and heavy-duty applications. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and testing teams to optimize packaging, GD&T and cost.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and strong cross-functional communication skills. Experience with vehicle structures, chassis and suspensions is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with CATIA V5/V6 for 3D modeling and detailing.
• Design experience for off-road or off-highway vehicle mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up and drawing standards.
• Experience with vehicle structures, chassis, suspension, brackets or enclosures.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D models, assemblies and detailed drawings using CATIA V5/V6.
• Design components and systems for off-road vehicles or heavy-duty applications.
• Contribute to concept development, packaging, GD&T and design optimization.
• Review designs for strength, durability, manufacturability and cost.
• Create engineering documentation, BOMs and design specifications.
