Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks a Substitute Teacher to ensure students can pursue their education smoothly when the regular teacher is absent. The substitute will carry out lesson plans and follow policies of the school and Archdiocese.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred), at least 1 year of substitute teaching or classroom experience, reliable transportation, a valid driver license and vehicle insurance; responsibilities include

Responsibilities

Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
Carries out lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher and follows school policies.
Supervises students in various school settings and attends to their physical, personal, academic and emotional needs.
Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters and follows safety protocols.
Performs other duties as directed by classroom teacher and administration.
