Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
• Valid substitute teaching license or permit, if required by the state or diocese.
• Previous experience with children or adolescents preferred.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and manage classroom activities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the regular teacher.
• Deliver instruction and assist students with assigned coursework and activities.
• Maintain classroom routines, expectations, and appropriate student behavior.
• Take attendance and complete required classroom documentation.
• Provide supervision during class, transitions, lunch, recess, dismissal, and other activities.
• Adapt to different subjects, classrooms, grade levels, and student needs.
• Encourage student participation and provide appropriate guidance and support.
• Communicate student concerns and relevant information to administration or the regular teacher.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly classroom environment.
• Support the Catholic identity and mission of the school through prayer and faith-based activities.
• Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student and school information.
