Job summary

The Catholic Religious Education Coordinator (CREC) at Joint Base Andrews Chapel plans, coordinates, and administers comprehensive Catholic education programs in alignment with DoD and AMS requirements.

Working with the Chaplain-in-Charge and chapel staff, the CREC recruits and mentors volunteers, maintains training records, prepares weekly reports, AARs, and manages budgets and promotional materials.

Qualifications

• Plan, coordinate Catholic religious education programs in alignment with chaplain guidance.
• Recruit, train, mentor volunteer teachers and maintain training records.
• Coordinate with chapel leadership and conduct parent meetings.
• Prepare weekly activity reports, annual program review, AARs and quarterly projections.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute Catholic religious education programs (RCIA, CCD, VBS, Baptismal Prep, Holy Day events).
• Recruit, train and mentor volunteers, maintaining training records and participation tracking.
• Coordinate with chapel leadership, staff and councils; conduct parent meetings and support youth ministry.
• Prepare and submit weekly activity reports, annual program review, AARs, and quarterly financial projections.
• Develop and submit promotional materials and ministry event proposals for chaplain approval.
