Job summary

Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a Catholic Classroom Aide to support instruction, student development, and daily school activities.

You will work closely with the classroom teacher to reinforce lessons, prepare materials, and help manage the learning environment in a faith-filled setting. The role emphasizes faith formation alignment, strong communication, and collaboration with families within Catholic education.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in education or a related field preferred.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
• Familiarity with Catholic teachings and a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, families, and colleagues.
• Basic proficiency with educational technology and classroom tools.
• Demonstrated patience, flexibility, sound judgment, and a positive approach to supporting children.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow school policies, procedures, and professional expectations.

• Faith Formation and Integration: Model and promote Catholic values, teachings, and virtues in all interactions with students and colleagues.
• Instructional Support: Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement lesson plans, learning activities, and instructional strategies.
• Student Development and Support: Build positive, supportive relationships with students that encourage academic achievement and social-emotional growth.
• Classroom Management and Safety: Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Community Engagement and Collaboration: Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, families, colleagues, and school personnel.
