The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a Classroom Aide for St. Louis Catholic Academy to provide instructional, clerical, and supervisory support in a faith-filled learning environment.

You will assist with lessons, engage students, and help with materials while reinforcing Catholic formation. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, with preferred experience in education settings, strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to follow directions while working independently.

Competenze

• High school diploma required; associate degree or college coursework in education preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in a school, daycare, tutoring, or youth program setting preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and abilities.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow teacher direction while working independently when needed.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Successful completion of background screening and Safe Environment requirements.

Mansioni

• Assist teachers with the implementation of daily classroom lessons and activities.
• Provide individual and small-group support to students to reinforce learning objectives.
• Help prepare instructional materials, classroom displays, and educational resources.
• Monitor student behavior and assist with maintaining a positive, respectful classroom environment.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, field trips, and other assigned times.
• Support students with academic tasks, assignments, and organizational skills.
• Assist with grading, recordkeeping, filing, copying, and other clerical duties as directed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Encourage student participation, engagement, and appropriate social interactions.
• Communicate student concerns and progress observations to the classroom teacher.
• Support students with special needs or accommodations as directed by the teacher and administration.
• Model Christian values and promote the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required Safe Environment training.
