Diocese of Nashville seeks a 3rd grade elementary teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Under the Principal’s supervision, the teacher will foster spiritual, intellectual, social, and physical development in a Catholic school setting.

The teacher will align instruction with diocesan curricula, collaborate with staff, and maintain a positive learning environment while upholding Catholic values and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee teaching license with Elementary K-5 endorsement or enrolled in approved program.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• 2–5 years of classroom experience preferred.

• Gives evidence of Gospel values through active faith community participation.
• Help build the school faith community through religious and service activities.
• Prepare for all elements of classroom instruction and interactions with students and colleagues.
• Plan lessons aligned with curriculum goals and diocesan objectives.
• Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum and communicate effectively with students.
• Cooperate with principal to develop instructional programs meeting student needs.
• Develop and use evaluation methods related to curriculum objectives and student progress.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and professional conduct with staff and parents.
