Qualifications

• Must have an active Tennessee teaching license with an endorsement in Elementary K-5 or enrolled in an approved job-embedded educator preparation program.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• 2-5 years of classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds faith community by participating in school religious and service activities.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with curriculum objectives and goals.
• Communicate effectively with students and colleagues; organize classroom learning to maximize student time on task.
• Establish a disciplining approach that promotes self-direction and positive self-image; maintain a respectful classroom environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and display professional judgment in dress and behavior.
• Collaborate with administration and staff to foster positive relationships with students and parents.
• Demonstrate professional responsibility in enforcing diocesan and school policies and regulations.
