Job summary

Nexus Integrity Management in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a CP Helper I to assist field technicians in installing, testing, and maintaining cathodic protection systems on pipelines and related assets. This entry-level role offers hands-on training with growth potential toward CP Technician or NACE certification; travel to job sites is required, and safety is paramount.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; OSHA 10 or SafeLand certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to travel regionally or nationally for field assignments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor.
• OSHA 10 or SafeLand certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of CP systems for pipelines and facilities.
• Help perform CP surveys (CIS, DCVG) and current testing under supervision.
• Support field setup and equipment preparation (meters, cables, data recorders).
• Record field data accurately on paper forms, tablets, or digital devices.
• Assist with excavation, wiring, trenching, and backfilling for CP installation.
• Load/unload materials and maintain organized work areas and vehicles.
• Follow safety policies, wear PPE, and participate in safety briefings.
• Travel frequently to job sites and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by CP Technician or Project Supervisor.
