Job summary

CAN Group is seeking an experienced Cathodic Protection Engineer to support Asset Integrity services across offshore and onshore structures, pipelines and tanks, based in Angola, on a 28/28 rotation. The role emphasizes technical reporting, field support and commissioning of CP systems.

The candidate will review survey data, troubleshoot CP systems, and contribute to life-extension and replacement projects while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar CP role.
• Engineering or science-based degree and recognised CP certification: AMPP/NACE CP4.
• Experience with sacrificial anode and impressed current CP systems on offshore/onshore assets.
• Strong capability in data interpretation, system assessment, troubleshooting and technical reporting.
• Clear communication, analytical skills and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide CP engineering expertise and technical support for offshore structures, pipelines, onshore structures and above-ground tanks.
• Assess, monitor and troubleshoot sacrificial anode and impressed current CP systems.
• Review survey and monitoring data, identify performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the design, optimisation, life extension and replacement of CP systems.
• Define inspection and survey requirements and provide field engineering support.
• Prepare clear technical reports and provide guidance to clients, contractors and junior team members.

Candidates should possess the following:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience within a similar role.
• Engineering or science-based degree and recognised CP certification: AMPP/ NACE Cathodic Protection Specialist - CP4.
• Demonstratable experience with sacrificial anode and impressed current CP systems across relevant offshore and onshore assets.
• Strong capability in data interpretation, system assessment, troubleshooting and technical reporting.
• Clear communication, analytical skills and attention to quality.

The role will include but is not limited to
