Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to perform patient care and assist in cardiac catheterization procedures in a fast-paced lab. The candidate will provide intra-procedural circulator, scrub, and monitor support, with experience in critical care settings preferred.

The role requires relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS) and RCIS registration within 2 years, plus NH registration. Full-time, 36 hours/week with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with additional training required.
  • Related degree preferred for advancement.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS required at time of hire.
  • RCIS registration within 2 years and maintained thereafter.
  • NH Board of Registration of Medical Technicians registration required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to Cath Lab patients by applying clinical judgment.
  • Administer medications per hospital policies.
  • Deliver pre- and post-procedural care.
  • Provide intra-procedural care as circulator, scrub, and monitor.
  • Support department goals and complete hospital requirements.
  • Assist with clinical training and competencies in lab protocols.

Job description

Hours are full time 36 hours/week

Summary

Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Cardiovascular Services, the Medical Director of Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Cath Lab Nurse Manager, the Cath Lab Technologist will perform duties necessary for caring for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures at a technical and professional level. The Tech will provide procedural care for patients, ages 18 years old and up, undergoing cardiac procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.

Education

High School Diploma plus additional training. Related degree preferred.

Certification, Registration & Licensure
  • At time of hire: BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS
  • Registration required to obtain: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 2 years and renewed as required to maintain or Rad Tech Certification
  • As time of hire: Registered as Medical Technician - NH Board of Registration of Medical Technicians
Experience

Must have clinical experience in critical care areas; cardiovascular experience preferred. Experience considered includes EMTs, paramedics, surgical techs.

Responsibilities
  • Provides care to the Cath Lab patient by applying actions based on clinical judgment.
  • Administers medications according to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Delivers pre and post procedural care to patients.
  • Delivers intra procedural care in the role of circulator.
  • Delivers intra procedural care in the role of scrub
  • Delivers intra procedural care in the role of monitor
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for individual performance goals.
  • Assists with clinical training and competencies in adherence with lab protocols.
  • Involves self in departmental, team and committee goals.
  • Completes departmental and hospital requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
