Job summary

AHMC HealthCare seeks a Cardiovascular Lab Technician to assist in scrub procedures and monitor physiologic data during cardiovascular procedures. The role ensures the procedure room is prepared and supplies are stocked, with responsibilities including image retrieval and documentation in the procedural system.

The ideal candidate has cardiovascular lab experience, BCLS and ACLS certifications, and may hold RCIS/CCPT credentials.

Qualifications

• Previous experience or training in a Cardiovascular Lab; required.
• Cardiovascular technician training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Certified Cardiovascular Technician; CCPT (invasive emphasis), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), CCPT (invasive emphasis), preferred.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required.
• EP Electrophysiology Pacing Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understands the use of procedural equipment necessary.
• Assists in stocking supplies on a daily basis.
• Assists in retrieval and copying of images as requested.
• Archives EP studies routinely per vendor.
• Utilizes and documents in procedural documentation system.
• Works as a team player assisting other staff and physicians.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and the training of new staff. Assist in all aspects of invasive and cardiac procedures.
