Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join the team on a PRN basis. You will work alongside physicians to deliver advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures using state-of-the-art cath lab technology. You will guide patients and families through their journey, ensuring precision in every step of treatment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, vigilance, and compassionate care to improve outcomes and patient experience in a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in cardiac catheterization lab environments preferred.
  • ACLS and BCLS certifications within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
  • Prepare and support patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures.
  • Operate and maintain advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment.
  • Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care.
  • Safeguard a sterile, safe environment while advocating for every patient.

Job Summary and Qualifications

From guiding patients and families through their journey to ensuring precision in every step of treatment, you’ll bring both skill and compassion to moments that improve more lives in more ways.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
  • Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
  • Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
  • Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
  • Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
What qualifications you will need:
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred or ARRT(R)
  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in health, science, natural science, nursing, engineering and/or primary scienceOR a recent graduateof an accredited cardiovascular program.
  • Minimum Two (2) or more years of full‑time invasive cardiology experience preferred NOT required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Two (2) years experience required
