Job description

**Responsibilities**

Accountable for supervising the room staff's performance, coordinating the room's schedule, and communicating with the Cath Lab management team to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Also performs duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring invasive cardiology procedures. Demonstrates understanding of all invasive procedures, equipment, supplies, and indications for each procedure. The focus is to assure optimal quality examination and intervention while maintaining the highest level of patient care and safety.

1. Exhibits strong organizational skills, including interaction, time management, independent problem solving, conflict resolution, and fiscal management. Ensures a professional, patient-oriented departmental atmosphere to enhance patient care.

2. Manages staff and room activities to maximize productivity. Coordinates staffing assignments to meet patient needs and staff abilities. Suggests staffing and procedural changes and collaborates with other hospital departments as needed.

3. Works with schedule coordinators, managers, supervisors, and other leaders to facilitate departmental productivity. Initiates actions to minimize case delays and reports schedule information promptly.

4. Operates radiographic equipment following radiation safety procedures.

5. Operates physiologic recorder/database systems, recognizing arrhythmias and waveforms.

6. Operates manifold, power injector, and support equipment such as VCRs, ACT machines, oximeters, and transport monitors.
