Qualifications

• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RTR), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
• Minimum three (3) years clinical experience in a hospital setting
• AHA BLS certification required

Responsibilities

Accountable for supervision of the room staff's performance, coordination of the room's schedule, and communication with the Cath Lab management team to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Also performs duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures. Demonstrates understanding of all invasive procedures, equipment, supplies, and indications for each procedure. The focus is to assure optimal quality examination and intervention while maintaining the highest level of patient care and safety.

• Exhibits strong organization skills such as: interaction and time management, independent problem solving, conflict resolution, and fiscal management. Ensures a professional and patient-oriented departmental atmosphere to enhance patient care.
• Responsible for managing staff and room activities to maximize productivity. Coordinates staffing assignments to meet patient needs and staff abilities. Suggests staffing and procedural changes and collaborates with other hospital departments as needed.
• Works with schedule coordinators, managers, supervisors, and other leaders to facilitate departmental productivity. Acts to minimize case delays and reports schedule information promptly.
• Operates radiographic equipment following radiation safety procedures.
• Operates physiologic recorder/database system, recognizing arrhythmias and waveforms.
• Operates manifold, power injector, and support equipment (VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, transport monitors).

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist Radiography (RTR), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT).
• AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum three (3) years clinical experience in a hospital setting.
