Job description

Responsibilities
  • Operates the radiographic equipment utilizing radiation safety procedures.
  • Operates physiologic recorder/database system with expertise recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms.
  • Operates manifold, power injector, and support equipment (VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, transport monitors).
  • Develops cines when necessary according to policy.
  • Able to recognize basic equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot equipment in room; reports malfunctions to Biomed promptly if unable to resolve.
  • Exhibits a strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases, interprets data gathered during procedures, and recognizes potential implications for patient care or complications.
  • Helps to efficiently run the schedule by maintaining a smooth and steady workflow, working independently, communicating with staff and schedule coordinators to maximize department productivity, and performing other duties to enhance patient care and efficiency.
  • Anticipates physician needs by understanding procedures performed and equipment necessary, sets up sterile trays, assists physicians during procedures using septic technique, and maintains appropriate medication and supply levels.
  • Scrub assists for AAA, TAVR, and complex endovascular procedures, and performs radiographic/digital imaging techniques for RTRs.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
