Qualifications

Position Summary

Performs duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures. Demonstrates an understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment and supplies for each, and their indications.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiographic equipment adhering to radiation safety procedures.
• Operates physiologic recorder/database system, recognizing arrhythmias and waveforms.
• Operates manifold, power injector, and support equipment (VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, transport monitors).
• Develops cines as needed according to policy.
• Recognizes basic equipment malfunctions, troubleshoots, and reports issues promptly.
• Possesses a strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, interprets data, and recognizes potential patient care implications or complications.
• Maintains efficient workflow, communicates effectively with staff and coordinators, and performs duties to enhance patient care and department efficiency.
• Anticipates physician needs, understands procedures and equipment, and assists during procedures with sterile technique. Maintains appropriate medication and supply levels.
• Assists with AAA, TAVR, complex endovascular procedures, and radiographic imaging techniques.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).

Minimum Experience:

• At least three (3) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.

Pay Range

$32.08 - $46.51 per hour
