Job summary

Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist for the Cath Lab. This Full Time role involves 12-hour day shifts in a high-acuity setting, performing interventional procedures under physician supervision and contributing to exceptional patient care.

The candidate will operate Cath Lab systems across cardiovascular, peripheral, and neuro-interventional services, with required certifications and at least 1 year of hospital patient contact.

Qualifications

  • EKG training and BLS certification are required.
  • Registry credentials must be obtained upon hire or equivalent.
  • The candidate must have BLS certification and nurse/tech experience.
  • 1 year patient contact in hospital setting; 6 months direct patient care; OTJ training may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Operate systems in the Cath Lab including cardiovascular, peripheral, endovascular and neurological procedures.
  • Perform all phases of cardiac, peripheral, vascular and neuro-interventional work in accordance with scope and standards.
  • Work under supervision of Cath Lab Manager, Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist, and Radiologist to deliver patient care.

Under the supervision of the Cath Lab Manager, Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist, Vasular surgeon and Radiologist, operates systems which include cardiovascular, peripheral, endovascular and neurological. Performs all phases of cardiac, peripheral, vascular and neuro-interventional to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the values and mission of the organization.

Required Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training: EKG technical training.
  • Coursework/Training: Sufficient for Registry Credentials
  • Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or
  • Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Cardiac-Interventional Radiography, or
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year patient contact in hospital setting.
  • 6 months direct patient care.
  • Note: If preferred training/experience is not in place upon hire, 6-month OTJ training applies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training: Neuro Interventional training.
  • Hospital experience.
  • 6 months Interventional Radiology.
  • 6 months electrophysiology Studies.
  • 6 months Neurological interventional procedures.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
