Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to assist physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. The role includes room preparation, patient instruction, monitoring, and routine and emergency care, with involvement in training and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities include managing arteriograms, pacemaker/defibrillator procedures, RF/Cryo ablation systems, 3D mapping, and ensuring data integrity across cases.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of qualifying work experience.
• Less than one year of specific cardiovascular lab experience may be acceptable.
• ACLS and BLS must be completed within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• ARRT‑R Radiography and other certs must meet TX Medical Board requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with arteriograms, catheterizations, pacemaker implants, and defibrillators.
• Follow radiation protection regulations; perform CPR/defibrillation when needed.
• Perform pre- and post‑procedure care and monitoring.
• Orient patients for catheterization or EP procedures; answer questions.
• Monitor ECG, pressures, and temperatures; alert physicians to variances.
• Assist with RF/Cryo ablation, 3D mapping, and document procedures.
• Maintain imaging data and prepare procedure reports.
• Prepare sterile fields; ensure rooms stocked and equipment current.
• Train new staff and students; lead quality control initiatives.
• Oversee NPSG auditing, turn‑around times, and quality improvement.
