Job summary

Huntsville Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to assist in procedures, prepare patients, review charts for consent and labs, and monitor patients post-procedure. The role emphasizes high-quality, collaborative patient care within the heart and vascular team.

Education includes vocational nursing or radiologic technology; Texas licensure as a Radiology Technologist is required, with LVN holding RCIS considered. BLS and ACLS certifications are required within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of vocational nursing or a medical radiologic technology program.
• Experience: None required. One year of clinical experience in Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular Interventions, Radiology, or related specialty preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Radiology Technologist in the State of Texas. Will consider an LVN with RCIS. BLS within 60 days; ACLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in procedures and prepare patients (IV placement, blood collection, site preparation).
• Review patient charts to ensure consents and labs are in place.
• Monitor patients post-procedure (site management, vital signs, telemetry).
• Collaborate with the heart and vascular team to provide high-quality patient care.
