Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, AZ, is hiring a Senior Cath Lab Technician. The role supports physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures, ensures safe operation of imaging equipment, and monitors patient status throughout procedures.

It also oversees supply management and serves as a preceptor for new staff. Candidates must hold a state radiology license, ARRT certification, and BLS; ACLS within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be licensed by the state as a radiation operator.
• ARRT is required.
• VI or CI registry preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• One year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab required.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced imaging and interventional procedures in line with professional and departmental guidelines.
• Supports physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures; ensures safe operation of imaging equipment and monitors patient status.
• Oversees supply management, assists with scheduling and workflow coordination, and provides education and in-service support for Cath Lab staff; serves as primary preceptor for new technicians.

Canyon Vista Medical Center is located in the beautiful high desert of southeastern Arizona, committed to serve residents in Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca, Cochise County - a population of more than 131,000 people, and our surrounding communities. We're comfortably nestled in the San Pedro River Valley, 75 miles southeast of Tucson. Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista. Growth and advancing technology dictated building our new 177,000 square foot hospital at 5700 E Hwy 90 completed in 2015.

How You'll Contribute

The Senior Cath Lab Technician performs a wide range of advanced imaging and interventional procedures in accordance with professional standards and departmental guidelines within an acute hospital setting. This role supports physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures, ensures the safe operation of imaging equipment, maintains high-quality imaging results, and monitors patient status throughout procedures. The Senior Cath Lab Technician also oversees supply management, assists with scheduling and workflow coordination, provides education and in‑service support for Cath Lab staff, and serves as the primary preceptor for new technicians. This position requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should be licensed by the state as a radiation operator. Additional requirements include:

• State Radiation Operators License/Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT - Required
• Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiac Interventional (CI) Registry - preferred
• BLS
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• One (1) year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab required
