Job summary

Medical City Lewisville is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech PRN to assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and operate radiology equipment. You will prepare rooms, equipment, and medications while upholding radiation safety and patient privacy.

Responsibilities include supporting department goals, maintaining a safe environment, and delivering high-quality patient care in a busy cardiovascular lab setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required within specified timelines.
• RCIS certification or progress toward RCIS within 18 months of employment.
• RT(R) licensure and MRT license or equivalent Texas licensure.
• EMT-P accepted as alternative credential where applicable.
• Certificate or Associate Degree must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Operate x-ray equipment and prepare patient room, equipment, and meds.
• Maintain radiation safety and patient privacy and comfort.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Assists cardiologist in performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Performs quality procedures accurately and in a timely manner. Operates x‑ray equipment, prepares patient’s room, equipment, supplies, and medications. Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed. Maintains safe environment for patients, fellow workers, physicians, and visitors. Supports and helps achieve departmental and hospital goals. The Technologist demonstrates an awareness of patient’s rights and works to ensure patient privacy, safety and comfort.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialistor attain RCISwithin18 monthsofemploymentor
• RT (R) - Registered Radiological Technologistand MRT license by Texas Medical Boardor
• RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapistand Texas licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner OR EMT-P
• Certificate, or Associate Degree must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
