Job summary

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital in South Florida is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. You will work with physicians to deliver advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures using state-of-the-art cath lab technology.

Responsibilities include assisting with angiograms, angioplasties and stent placements, preparing patients, operating equipment, and monitoring responses to ensure the highest quality care with a compassionate approach.

Qualifications

• ACLS to be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• BLS to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Vocational training completed
• Associate Degree required
• ARRT-R Radiography or equivalent certification or higher must be obtained within 2 years of start date
• RT/RCIS/RDCS/RRT certifications as applicable may be required

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures (angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements)
• Prepare patients and families with education and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operate and maintain advanced cath lab equipment
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion
• Maintain a sterile, safe environment and advocate for every patient

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What qualifications you will need

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• Vocational School Graduate
• Associate Degree
• (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (CRT-State) Certified Respiratory Therapist, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse, or Paramedic, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer or RCIS must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
