Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina in Florence, SC is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Tech for a full-time, on-site role. Training is available for licensed RTs to join the cath lab team, with responsibilities spanning invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Sciences.
• Experience: Previous experience preferred; Critical Care experience required.
• Licenses/Certificates: ARRT, CVIS, CRT, RRT; Current BLS certification; Cath lab or cardiovascular specialty cert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures, supporting the cardiologist.
• Collaborate with the hospital team to ensure safe, efficient patient care and adherence to standards and protocols.

Job Description

The Cath lab technologist is a professional caregiver who specializes and performs/assists with invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures. Responsible for assisting the cardiologist in while adhering to departmental standards and protocols. Collaborates with other professionals in and out of the Hospital to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Sciences, RT or CVIS

Experience

• Previous experience preferred
• Critical Care Experience required

Licenses/Certificates

ARRT, CVIS , CRT , RRT

Current BLS certification

Cath lab or Cardiovascular specialty certification preferred
